I did two sets of note cards for my sister for Christmas. Same design, different paper.

Published!

I really liked this card and I sent in ages ago.  I kept wondering why no one liked it.  Today I received my complimentary copy of Just Cards! and finally this card made it in.

Christmas Card

Two things...My new year resolution is to post on my blog weekly.  I have some plans for card making coming up. Hope I can pull it off.
This  Christmas card  I will be submitting for publication.  It could take up to a year before it could be seen in print tho'.  The stamp is an old All Night Media stamp and it has a "Stamp Cellar" price sticker on it...so it is old! Thirteen or fourteen years old.  The DP (designer paper) is new, it is from 'Little Yellow Bicycle - All Wrapped Up".

Birthday Card

I made a birthday card for my cousin Karen.  Haven't been crafting too much lately as I am in a creative slump. I also had to use the Nikon camera since my Sony is out of commission.

Here's the card I made for Ashley's birthday

I'm a bit late putting this on because we left on Ashley's birthday, October 2.

Road Trip to Canyon de Chelly

From October 2 to October 8,  Steve and I had a nice Road Trip to the Grand Canyon and Canyon de Chelly.  We stopped at Walnut Canyon too, so I suppose it could be called the Canyons Trip.  We had some rain, but for the most part the weather was nice.  The highlight of the trip was Canyon de Chelly and taking a tour of the bottom of the Canyon with Navajo guide Harris Hardy. Harris is quite the story teller!

Just Cards! Fall 2010

This card is similar to the one I sent in but took no pictures!  I was really surprised, because I had forgotten about it.

Just Cards! Fall 2010

Two cards in this one!  I will try to show both. This one I knew I sent in and took a photo before sending.

I know it's a little early

I got this new paper from BasicGrey, which has got to be my favorite paper company.  I think it's suppose to be fall, but to me, especially the pears, it spoke "Arizona Christmas".  I probably will not submit this to the magazines I read, but send it to a friend that loves "Partridge in a Pear Tree".

Another Halloween Card

I'm not sure I like the way this card turned out, but I think the stamp is just the cutest.  I discovered Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and I just fell in love with her images. This image is called Hattie. I was mounting the dies on Cling Mount and of course had to stamp them!  Hattie kept calling my name so I colored her and came up with this card.

Halloween Cards Are Finished!

Wow, I've finished my Halloween cards already.  I was wondering what I was going to do, but then I dug through my papers, found some I liked and worked around it. This one I think I will send to Libby for her scrapbook.

Take Ten Magazine

Got my Art Comp copy of Take Ten Magazine today...that means I have one (only one this time) of my cards published for the Take Ten Challenge.  I'm always excited to look through the magazine for the surprise of which card they chose.  I usually send three or four for each challenge.  This is one of my favorites that I sent in.
I've also finished my Halloween cards. As soon as I take the time to take pictures of them I will post them.

This is Doodles

Asia aka Doodles. She looks like a snicker doodle to me so she ended up being nick named Doodles.

Why do I have to title this?

Yesterday was hubby's day off so did not get much of anything done.  I have been playing with some old photos using PhotoScape.  Found out using the water color technique cures some blurry pictures.  I usually print the pix and make cards for my Sister. All of a sudden I remembered a multi-frame that I had picked up and decided to fill it with some of my flower pictures.  I think it came out fairly nice. The photo of the frame on the wall didn't come out to great because of some glare.

Birthday Card

I made this card for a friend.  The stamp is from Art Impressions. Colored with colored pencils.  DP is from Adorn-It, Gone Fishing collection.

This card was published in Take Ten

This card was published in the Summer 2010 Take Ten magazine.  Unfortunately I wasn't given credit.  Funny too, this was my least favorite of the three I submitted.
Going forward I will post the stamp credits. The three stamps used; the Eiffel Tower is from Art Impressions, the beautiful woman's face is from Impression Obsession and the border is from Magenta. Pretty much all of my card stock is from Bazzill, love their paper and colors! The designer paper is from My Mind's Eye.
Hello, first post for me.  I just started this blog and finally decided on the background.  I think this is the one I like.  I am finding this to be a bit time consuming.  Next up is trying to add some pictures.  I think I will start with  my cards that have been submitted and/or published.
